Exclusive to Dr Blood's Video Vault An interview with RedVamp Date: Monday, 27 March 2006 RedVamp kindly agreed to answer a few questions for me, Dr Blood, proving that she is not only a uniquely beautiful model but a gorgeous human being as well. Here's what she had to say... How did you become a model? I modeled on and off all my life, since childhood, but the RedVamp gothic related modeling started five years ago, simply by me putting up a website of photos. Before I knew it, I was being approached by magazines, websites and artists, asking to use my photos. What has been the high point of your career so far? I would have to say, just recently, meeting Bela Lugosi Jr. (son of Bela Sr.), Sara Karloff (daughter of Boris) and Ron Chaney (grandson/great-grandson) of Lon Chaney and Lon Chaney Jr.). I met them when I appeared alongside them as a celebrity guest at the Haunt X convention. Being an avid classic horror fan, it was a dream come true and I would have never had the opportunity if it wasn’t for my work as RedVamp. 
What magazines, that feature you, do you have coming out?There should be some coverage regarding my Haunt X appearance in an upcoming issue of Bite Me Magazine, which has already featured me twice, including a cover. There are several others in the works, but still pending, as I haven’t had much time to devote to magazine coverage lately due to travel and a move. What would be your ideal photoshoot? Or your worst one? My ideal would be on location at a beautiful medieval castle in Europe wearing exquisite corsetry. The worst would be anywhere with a pervert behind the camera! Who is your favourite fashion stylist? Amira Ansari of GothicabyAmira.com and Countessa of CrimsonEmpress.com. What is your favourite brand of make-up? I use a mix of everything. No one brand seems to suit me! What do you like to do most when not modelling? Travel – half the time alone with my husband, the other half of the time with my husband and kids. Do you have an aspirations to be an actor in motion pictures? Or maybe be in a band perhaps? Yes, although the route my career seems to be taking is totally based on the RedVamp persona and my style and look. I seem to be evolving as a personality like Elvira or Vampira, rather than as a general actress. Who are your favourite actors? Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney Sr. and Jr., Christopher Walken, Johnny Depp, Harrison Ford, Gary Oldman, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing. Do you like scary movies? Yes, but I like classic horror and movies that are intellectually stimulating or address the paranormal, rather than blood and gore. What is your favourite movie? I don’t really have one particular favorite. My absolute favorites include Nosferatu (1922), Immortal Beloved (1994), Dracula (1931), Bram Stoker's Dracula (1993), Interview With the Vampire (1994), Bride Of Frankenstein (1935), Ed Wood, The Crow, Edward Scissorhands, The Butterfly Effect, The Sixth Sense, All the Star Wars and Indiana Jones movies.  If you were a South Park character who would it be?Kyle, he is the sensible one. If you were stranded on the moon which three things would you like to have with you? My husband and my two children. Do you eat a lot of toffees? No, too hard on the teeth! I'm a whipped cream and chocolate person. Do fans say weird things to you? Yes. The most typical is "Are you a vampire?". If you could be anyone famous, from any time period, past or present, who would you want to be? John Lennon. How many hours do you spend on the internet each day? I don’t have much time for the internet, so it is whenever I can find the time... less than a few hours a week. Do you like doctors? Yes, I wanted to be one. I completed four years of Pre-Med work and can apply to medical school if I wish. I truly appreciate them. My daughter was born over three months premature and was in the neonatal intensive care unit for three months. She would have died without constant medical intervention and the wisdom and experience of the doctors. Do you like to break rules or are you a good girl? Depends on the situation... but I’m generally a good girl! How many cookies can you get into your mouth in one go? Depends on the cookie... Which question would you most like to be asked? What is most important to you in life? And the answer to that question...? My children, husband and family in general, above all. Personally - being a good mother, wife, daughter and friend, etc. to those that I love. Both personally and professionally - being true to myself and who I am, not compromising my values, personal beliefs or style for success, money, fame, etc. and being a good role model to the multitude of young people that I hear from on a daily basis.
