 Steven Spielberg produced this little shocker which might explain why it feels a bit toned down in places. Not much to do with poltergeists other than the furniture moving scene, but Tobe Hooper pulls out every trick in the book, and some very convincing ghostly special effects, to create a very believable ghostie film indeed! The two sequels are, unfortunately, not nearly as good.I particularly like the scene where you get to see Jobeth's shiny legs. Dr Blood's rating: 10/10  |
