Comments:  Nicely atmospheric to begin with but short on shocks apart from the bit involving the medium turning into the little girl. Not much of a surprise ending either for anyone who notices similarities between this and James Herbert's "Haunted" (another great book ruined by inept filmaking). Christopher Eccleston is wasted in his role as any Dr Who afficianado will now be able to tell you. Eric Sykes however does his best to outgrow his comedic tendencies.The plot holds your suspense almost until the end but from time to time all you end up doing is watching to see if you can spot Nicole Kidman's manky red fingers in this one... haven't you noticed how she always hides her hands in films lately?
