Exclusive to Dr Blood's Video Vault An interview with Jennifer Date: Thursday, 27 March 2006 Jennifer kindly agreed to answer a few questions for me, Dr Blood, proving that she is not just a pretty face. Here's what she had to say... Why did you decide to become a model? I've always enjoyed being in front of a camera, and the fantasy of it, so it stemmed naturally from that. I first started modelling as a teenager - all kinds. I've done fashion and bathing suit and lingerie modeling. I've also been a hand model. These days I'm mostly involved in designing my own gowns and fantasy and period costumes - and of course sculpting my dolls, but I do still do some modeling. I still love being in front of a camera.  What got you into faeries?I've always loved mythology and folklore, and it seems every country has it's own version of faeries - it's fascinating. And I used to see them as a child. ("I do believe in faeries!") My first introduction to what I felt were real faeries was seeing the book "Faeries" by Brian Froud and Alan Lee. They painted faeries as I saw them... not all sweetness and light, but more interesting, and sometimes dark and sensual. What has been the high point of your career so far? Winning the Froudian Artist Award for my faerie dolls... I'm a huge fan of Brian and Wendy Froud. What do you like to do most when not modelling? Hmmm... sculpting dolls, sewing fantasy and period clothing, reading, being with good friends, traveling, watching films, cooking, bellydancing, playing with my children. How many hours to you spend on the internet each day? 2 or 3 (mostly answering emails and working on my websites.) Do you have an aspirations to be an actor in motion pictures? Or in a band maybe? I love music, but never wanted to play it myself. Acting would be fun! I Iove everything to do with film. Who are your favourite actors? Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Carey Grant, Grace Kelly, Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart. There are more... but this is who comes to mind at the moment. What is your favourite movie? Can I only choose one? Oh, that's impossible! (How about a top 100?) Okay, let's see... how about my favorite movie right now? That would be "Don Juan DeMarco." or "Corridor of Mirrors" (I know, I know, that's two. Told you I couldn't narrow it to one! ;)  Have you seen Zoolander? Do you think it captured the modelling industry well?I haven't seen that. Should I? Yes, you should, it's great! Who are your favourite models? I have favorite photographs, but not really favorite models. What would be your ideal photoshoot? Anything fantasy oriented, outdoors. Who is your favourite fashion stylist? I don't have a favorite, actually. Not that you need it, but what is your favourite brand of make-up? Lancome. Do you get obsessive fans or have you escaped so far? I get some very um, enthusiastic people, yes! Do people say weird things to you? Often... (do I have to repeat them?) Well no, but I think we can all well imagine... Here's a weird one for you, if you were a cartoon character who would it be? A kind of a cross between Jessica Rabbitt and Sleeping Beauty. If you could be anyone else who would you want to be? Hmmm... I rather like being me :) But I wouldn't have minded being an actress in Hollywood in the 1940's... that's a little fantasy of mine.  Mine too . ;o) If you were stranded on a desert island which three things would you like to have with you?My true love, my children, and music. (But to be completely happy I'd also like to have lots of books, a way to watch films, fabulous food, chocolate and red wine :) Do you eat a lot of chocolate? I love chocolate. Yes! How many cheesey poofs can you get into your mouth in one go? Just one! Do you like to break rules or are you a good girl? I'm always good :) Did you do well at school or did you hate it? I never liked school much. I love to learn, but I never liked the cliques and all of the other nonsense you had to deal with in school. I'd skip classes and spend the whole day in the library!  What time do you normally get up and go to bed?I'm a nightowl. I go to sleep sometime before the sun comes up and wake up when I do :) I love the morning and to watch the sunrise, but only if I haven't gone to sleep yet. You have a great mouth. Do you like dentists? I guess they're okay... I try to stay away from doctors in general. What do you like most about Dr Blood's Video Vault? What else should be on here? Everything. It's perfect just the way it is :) Thank you. I believe your presence has enhanced it considerably though. Would you have your picture taken wearing nothing but a Dr Blood's Video Vault t-shirt? Hmmm... maybe! If you were to win something, what would you like to win? Enough money to buy my own castle and travel as much as I want to. Which question would you most like to be asked?
