Fox, Sean Whalen, Fred Willard, Jack Noseworthy, Katie Wright Plot: A perpetually stoned teenager named Anton gets possessed by an evil force that infects his right hand which then takes on a homicidal life of its own after he chops it off with a butcher knife. Comments:  This unoriginal idea (which contains many elements of "Evil Dead 2", "American Werewolf in London", and "The Hand") is little more than an excuse for gross-out effects and easy one-liners. It's fun to a point, and certain to be a popular Halloween hit with its intended teenage audience but anyone looking for a truly great comedy-horror amalgam might be better off with "American Werewolf in London" instead... if only to see where most of the ideas for this movie came from.Dr Blood's rating: 6/10  |
